Thoughts on Ecclesiastes 1 & 2
1:18 with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief.
With great power comes great responsibility.
mo' money, mo' problems.
2:14-16 this I think is where the charge of meaninglessness stems from. All die everyone passes away.
2:21 "A man may do his work with wisdom, knowledge, and skill, and then he must leave all he owns to someone who has not worked for it."
This makes me think, why doesn't wealth amass? Meaning, because of inheritance you would think families would get richer over time if they did have some wisdom. Maybe they do?
2:24 "A man can do nothing better than to eat, drink, and find satisfaction in his work." Do I find satisfaction in my work?
