Thoughts on Ecclesiastes 6-7
6:1-2 This is pretty much saying that God has caused a grievous evil. What's up with that?
7:15-16 "...I have seen both of these: a righteous man perishing in his righteousness, and a wicked man living long in his wickedness. 16Do not be overrighteous, neither be overwise-- why destroy yourself?"
I think what this is saying is that being righteous in this world will get you killed. Likely because it is ruled by the wicked. This is a strange book though, the verses after this are sort of telling you to take the path of moderation between righteousness and wickedness, between wisdom and folly.
7:20 All have sinned, all fall short.
