Is this spring cleaning?

This weekend I removed the upper cabinets in our kitchen as well as the counter backsplash. In the process I revealed some nice holes in the wall and made one of my own along with a nice mess.

You can see where they used to be and the former color of our walls.

Unfortunately I don't think I have a photo of how the cabinets looked before removal, but I drew in where they were in vacant space, and most of my readers have been in our kitchen before anyway.

The next step is removing the sink and counter top and demo-ing the under sink cabinet. Our new cabinets are coming this Friday.
